ICT を用いた活動支援システムを開発し，中高年者の歩数や下肢筋力，医療費への影響を調査した．対象者は 40 ～ 93 歳の中高年者 3,237 名であり，検証期間は 6 年間である．歩数，下肢筋力，医療費，気持ち等の変化に着目した．その結果，歩数は男性は 8,000 歩，女性は 7,000 歩以上を維持し，下肢筋力は有意に向上した．医療費は 6 年間で 1 人あたり 63,026 円の削減が確認できた．気持ちの面では対象者の 60% 以上が前向きな気持ちに変化し，70%
