On December 17 of the same year, the sufficiency decision (COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION of 17.12.2021 consumer to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the adequate protection of personal data by the Republic of Korea under the Personal Information Protection Act) was made. Following the presentations at EIP 93 and 94, this paper analyzes the current situation of the European Commission's adequacy decision procedure for Korea and provides suggestions for Japan's personal information protection policy.
