These tunnels supply energy, such as electricity, heat, and gas, to buildings above ground, and are periodically inspected by workers. In this case, it is important for the operator or the manager to know the location of the operator. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to estimate the position of workers in the tunnel. Currently, there are several techniques for estimating the location of workers in tunnels using radio waves such as wireless LAN and Wi-Fi. However, these technologies are vulnerable to changes in the environment because they must collect data again when the environment inside the tunnel changes, and they require a large number of devices to be installed inside the tunnel. Therefore, a technology that is resistant to changes in the environment and does not require the installation of a large number of devices is needed. To solve this problem, we propose a method of position estimation based on information obtained by autonomous navigation and VSLAM.
