However, the trust for the credential issuer is needed. Since such an entity cannot be assumed in public blockchain, a decentralized system has been proposed. In this previous system, a user is authenticated using a set of public-keys of users. Since the public-keys are on the blockchain, a user can prove that he is valid without a credential issuer by verifying that his public-key is included in the public-key set. However, this previous system is inefficient, because the size of the authentication data is proportional to the number of users, due to an OR proof with the public-keys.
