230 人が解いた 12 問について,解答枠内の並び順の状態遷移における閉路 (cycle) の有用性を検証する.まず,閉路の終点 (すなわち始点) は解答者にとって「ここまでは正しい」とみなした状態であると考えられる.そこで,閉路の終点が正解の部分列になっているか評価したところ,出現頻度の多い閉路 26 個のうち 25 個 (96%) の終点の並び順が正解の部分列になっていた.また,終点が正解の部分列になっている率が大きい問題は正答率が高くなる傾向があった.閉路の終点は,解答者が「そこまでは正しい」とみなしていたと考えられる.次に,閉路の始点直後の操作対象と閉路脱出直後の操作対象とのペアは互いに代替になっていると考えられる.そこで,これらのペアを抽出して,作問者が意図的に含ませた選択肢との適合性を評価したところ,79% で適合した.これらのペアは実際に解答者が取捨選択したものと考えられる.これら 2
