The DSA reconstructs platforms and the rights of public authorities and users from a democratic perspective, while the DMA defines and prohibits unfair trade practices by platform operators positioned as digital gatekeepers, establishes enforcement mechanisms based on market research, and establishes harmonized rules from regulation to enforcement. This bill will have a huge impact on GAFAM companies and other large digital platform companies, including those outside the EU.
