状態のコピーを大量に用意して,外挿法による計算を実行する必要があるため,使用する量子ビットの数が増大してしまうという難点があった.そこで我々は,NISQ デバイスを用いた自由エネルギー計算のより効率的な方法を提案する.本手法では,変分量子虚時間発展により Gibbs 状態を準備して,温度の異なる Gibbs 状態間のオーバーラップを NISQ デバイスで求めることで,分配関数および,自由エネルギーを求める.この手法では N 量子ビットの系の分配関数を求めるのに 2N 量子ビットを利用すれば良い.これは従来手法よりも必要な量子ビット数が少なくてすむ.性能評価のために Heisenberg
