One of the reasons for this is that a system called Neural machine translation is introduced in 2014, which utilizes a neural network technique, and then its performance has tremendously improved. This survey investigates technical trends of the patent applications for the machine translation during term including 2014, and analyzes patents, research and development papers and etc. on the machine translation in order to study technical trends of domestic and foreign, situation of technical competitive power of Japan and foreign countries, and their future prospects. Finally, this survey gives a proposal of issues to be addressed and trends in the future.},
