Major system developments of so-called enterprise system developments aim at attaining various rationalizations. Thus, it proposes the concept and the procedure to set ‘effects and usefulness’as the final object to be attained, and repeats hierarchical decompositions in a top-down manner, evaluating the ‘effects and usefulness’quantitatively. By these, the investment becomes as reliable as other investments in plant and equiment, and asks understanding of top managers. Finally, technologies of ‘software factories’in this area are introduced.},
