(ventral pallidum, VP) および側坐核 (nucleus accumbens, NAc) の神経活動がラットの選択行動に及ぼす影響について，情報理論の観点から評価した．解析手法として部分情報分解 (partial information decomposition, PID) を用い，VP または NAc の発火率と直近のトライアルでの経験 (ラットの選択行動と報酬の有無の組み合わせ) が保有するラットの選択行動に関する共有情報量，相補的情報量 (相乗効果)，固有情報量をそれぞれ算出した．その結果，多くの VP・NAc we evaluated the effects of neural activities in the ventral pallidum (VP) and nucleus accumbens core (NAc) on choice behavior in rats from the viewpoint of information theory. Using the partial information decomposition (PID) technique as a analysis method, we calculated shared, synergy, and unique information about the rat’s choice between the firing rate and the recent experiences, the contribution of the choices and the reward outcomes in the last trial.
