This paper proposes a technique to identify refactorings performed between two revisions using a search algorithm. In this technique, we consider a program as a state and refactoring as a transition, and then search for refactorings that reach from the initial state to the final state. In searching, we calculate the difference between the current state and the final state for choosing the next refactoring to apply and also estimate the heuristic distance to the final state. By using this tecnique we can detect related refactorings performed at the same time.
