• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: Online classes may increase other off-task behaviors such as social networking and household chores, which may reduce students' concentration. In this study, we first conducted a web-based questionnaire survey of university students regarding their online class environment and learning attitude. As a result of this survey, we found that many students spent a lot of time using their smartphones for purposes other than taking classes, and that they performed off-task behaviors specific to home. To solve this problem, we have developed a system that suppresses off-tasking by requiring students to input their nodding responses to a class content from their smartphones during class, and then the students and teachers can check the degree of responses. From the results of an evaluation experiment, we found that the system significantly suppressed diverse and long off-task behaviors.
