や Optane™ Persistent Memory(PM)が実用化され始め,スーパーコンピュータにおいては性能の異なる種々のメモリを適切に使いこなす必要性が増している.そのため,アプリケーション毎のメモリ性能要件 を把握することが重要になってきている.分子動力学ソフトウエアの GROMACS は,ベンチマーク用途の小規模計算から創薬現場での大規模計算まで幅広く利用されており,一層の高速化が望まれているが,メモリからのデータ 供給が性能ボトルネックとなりやすい性質を持つ.本報告では,データ配置最適化による性能向上の可能性を探る ため,DRAM を PM のキャッシュとして用いるシステム上で,GROMACS のデータセットサイズを DRAM キャッシュサイズ以下の場合と以上の場合とで性能を比較した.PM でのメモリ拡張なしでは計算できないデータセット(キャッシュサイズの 1.4 倍)でも,性能低下は 15% にとどまっていて,DRAM キャッシュの有効性を確認できた.しかしながら,CPU のサイクルあたりの命令数(IPC)は 1 より小さく,メモリからのデータ転送待ちの状態であり,データ配置最適化による更なる性能向上の余地が確認できた.この結果から,今後はシステムレベルでのメモ
