In addition, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's “Standardization of dental information” project defined the “Japan Dental Association Oral Examination Standard code” (JDAOES) for dental information accumulated in each dental care institution. Therefore, we have developed an identification support system using dental information made available by the project. By focusing on the hierarchical structure of teeth status and using it as a feature of search function, the system can cope with the loss of dental information at the time of disaster. Focusing on Dynamic Programming (DP) matching and histograms for tooth features and positions, we proposed a matching method that combines these two methods. The evaluation experiments on hierarchical structure and matching provided the following three results: (1) The hierarchical structure can narrow down search targets to about one-fifth.
