We propose a method for generating office forms (reports) from databases automatically. By this method, users can obtain forms very easily and promptly by giving only the title of the form that is desired. To embody the automatic form generation, three components are proposed; a form knowledge base, an office dictionary, and a form transformation language. The form knowledge base represents form generation procedures and form relationships. The procedure is described very simply for each form group. The office dictionary contains information on synonyms, expressions for data computation, etc.m, which make the form generation flexible. The form transformation language is a very high level language for describing the form generation procedure.
