(1) 漢字にふりがながあること (2) スクリーンリーダで読み上げた内容が聞き取りやすく理解しやすいことの 2 点が求められる．現在の仕様ではルビの存在がスクリーンリーダの読み上げの障壁になっている．そこでスクリーンリーダとルビの共存を目指し「スクリーンリーダモード」を開発した．このモードはユーザがモードのボタンを押すことで実行され，漢字・ふりがなのどちらか一方を読み上げるようページ情報を変更するものである．搭載により (1) 漢字とふりがなの二重読み上げの回避 (2) in Japanese websites is a barrier for screen readers. Screen readers read out Japanese ruby text after pronouncing kanji. This repetitive reading prevents most Japanese screen reader users from understanding sentences on websites. To improve Web accessibility for screen reader users, we have developed a \"Screen Reader Mode.\" It is a function that modifies information on a web page so that screen readers read either kanji text or ruby text.
