DNA 断片群の塩基配列に対して,標準 DNA 配列上でのその位置を特定するアライメント処理に多くの計算資源が必要とされる.現在この処理には,高速かつ高精度のため,アライメントプログラム BWA-MEM が広く利用されている.しかし,BWA-MEM は,計算ホットスポットの一部を SSE2 組み込み関数を使用して SIMD 化しているため,実行環境が Intel アーキテクチャに制限されていた.本稿では,BWA-MEM の Armv8-A アーキテクチャ上の SIMD 拡張である SVE への移植を行い,SVE 命令セットを実装した富士通 A64FX
