As one of the inspection ways, an image-based inspection has an advantage in terms of cost and efficiency; however, it requires much effort in the case of high-rise buildings because of a massive number of taken pictures. Specifically, it is hard to distinguish the cracks in the walls made of natural stones from their complex texture pattern. To support such inspection to decrease oversights, we developed the computer-aided diagnosis system to find wall cracks by using deep convolutional neural networks. This system finds a wall crack and visualizes probabilities of including cracks as a heatmap for each local region.
