 note = {近年のGUI(aphical　User　Interfa)環境の進歩に伴い、データベースアプリケーションでもGUIをもつものが増大している。そしてデータベースアプリケーション開発支援ツールの多くはウインドーベースのGUI(aphical　User　Interfa)の開発を省力化するため、データ辞書内のスキーマ情報を用いてデフォルトの画面レイアウトを生成する機能をもつ。しかしデータ辞書内の統計情報をGUI作成に用いた事例はまだない。我々は自動レイアウト・システムによりデータ操作用アプリケーションのGUIを生成するシステムを開発してきた。この画面生成機能にあらたにデータ辞書内の統計情報を使い、従来に比較してより多様な表現のGUIを作成できるようなシステム拡張を提案する。本稿では統計情報をどのように保持しGUI生成に活用するかを報告するとともに、我々の自動レイアウトシステム全体の中でどのように多様なGUI表現を生成していくかについても論じる。, GUI (Graphical User Interface) environments have evolved rapidly in recent years, and many database application development tools offer a function that generates a default GUI screen from the database schema. The function helps application developers make the GUI screen. However, the existing development tools have used only the database field schema information and they have not utilized the rest of the information stored in a data dictionary. We have developed an automatic GUI generation system for three years. This paper proposes to pay attention to statistical information of the database status such as a cardinarity of a table and to apply the statistical information to generate GUI screens. Using th estatistical information, the system will be able to efficiently generate a variety of GUI screens. Several examples which show how to use the statistical information in the data dictionary are illustrated.},
