• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: Obaseは，Obaseコンソシアムによって設計・開発された，インスタンス指向のオブジェクトデータベース管理システムであり，Smalltalkによって実現されている．本稿では，（） 従来のC++中心のOODBMSの固さを克服することを目的として開発されたObaseデータモデル，（） Obaseシステムアーキテクチュア，（） 強力な巡航機能と動的継承機能を有するデータベース言語ObaseLang，（） オブジェクトやスキーマの段階的進化に関わる制約を維持するためのアクティブルール機構ObaseECA，（） 狭義2相ロックプロトコルと入れ子型トランザクション処理をサポートする並行処理制御機構などについて述べる．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Obase is an instance-based object database management system designed and implemented in Smalltalk by the Obase Consortium. In the present paper, we describe (1) the Obase data model which is a classless data model developed in an attempt to overcoming a number of drawbacks that the previous C++ OODBMSs have, (2) the Obase system architecture, (3) the Obase language called ObaseLang which has powerful navigation and dynamic inheritance operators, (4) the active rule mechanism called ObaseECA which supports to maintain integrity constraints concerned with object/schema evolutions, and (5) the concurrency control mechanism which realizes a strict two-phase lock protocol and nested transactions.
