It is already known that the object-oriented data model is suitable for encapsulation. However, open problems still remain with respect to network structure. Then, we designed a storage system called HyNeSS (Hyper Network Storage System) and implemented its prototype system. The significant feature of HyNeSS is the incorporation of the integrity management mechanisms, namely, referential integrity, link derivation, and consistency management mechanisms.
