Typical training methods for yo-yo players include self-practice using reference videos and direct instruction from experienced players; however, the former lacks feedback while the latter can be costly. The purpose of this study is to propose a training support system that analyzes and visualizes yo-yo trick motions and provides feedback to players. As an initial target, we focused on the “Inside Loop,” a fundamental trick that often becomes a major challenge for beginners. A custom ring-type sensing device equipped with acceleration and angular velocity sensors was developed to capture finger movements. Based on the acquired data, the Inside Loop was segmented by individual loops for skill analysis.
