However, these non-verbal expressive techniques employed by expert instructors have traditionally been examined only through qualitative, manual analyses, and objective data-driven investigations remain limited. The present study aims to establish a methodology for analyzing non-verbal expressive behaviors using objective data. As an initial step, we focus on choral conducting as a form of instructional practice. In choral education, beyond individual practice sessions, conductors communicate their interpretive intentions to singers through conducting gestures during actual performance. In this study, expert and novice conductors will be asked to conduct the same choral piece, and their performances will be recorded on video. From the recorded footage, the positional changes of the conductors' left and right wrists will be extracted.
