Wide-Area(LPWA)は,Internet of Things(IoT)での利用が期待される通信技術である.独自のプロトコルを使用する多くのLPWAでは,TCP/IPを用いる他のネットワークに接続されたデバイスと直接通信することができないため,センサ情報の収集や遠隔管理・保守は,基地局やゲートウェイによる仲介やプロトコル変換が必要となる.既存のインターネットアプリケーションや運用ツールをそのまま活用するには,LPWAにTCP/IPを導入してインターネット側との相互運用性を確保することが有効である.先行研究では,単一Private LoRaインタフェースにおいて安定したTCP/IP通信を実現した.しかし,Private LoRaは低速であり,パケット損失が生じるとタイムアウトまでの待機や再送により著しく性能が低下する可能性がある.そこで,複数チャネルの利用や冗長送信等により信頼性・スループットの改善を図る目的で,2つのPrivate LoRaインタフェースを併用する構成が考えられる.本稿では,2つのPrivate LoRaインタフェースにおけるTCP/IP通信においてACKの信頼性向上に焦点を当てる.具体的には,TCP Wide-Area (LPWA) is a major communication technology for the Internet of Things (IoT). Many LPWA-based sensor networks rely on protocols specific to each standard and cannot communicate directly with devices on IP networks. To improve interoperability with Internet applications, a previous study enabled single-hop TCP/IP communication over Private LoRa. However, under the stop-and-wait operation assumed for TCP/IP over Private LoRa, ACK losses hinder the progress of communication as much as data losses and thus become a critical factor directly impacting performance. Therefore, to improve reliability and throughput through multi-channel utilization and redundancy, a configuration that employs two Private LoRa interfaces can be considered. In this study, we construct a multi-hop TCP/IP environment over Private LoRa and improve TCP acknowledgement reliability by duplicating TCP ACKs and transmitting them simultaneously over the two interfaces.
