(Operating System)においてPrivate MAC Address (MAC Addressのランダム化)の提供と秘匿性の高度化が急速に進んでおり，九州工業大学の全学セキュア・ネットワーク無線LAN (Kyutech Wi-Fi)においてもその利用を広く確認している．しかし，ネットワーク管理の観点からは，Private MAC Addressによる接続では個々の端末特定を困難にするといった課題が生じる．加えて，従来はMACアドレスは端末固有であると仮定して利用者1人あたりの平均接続端末数を単純に算出できたが，Private MAC Addressの導入によりSSIDごとに異なるMAC Addressが生成され，一定期間ごとに更新されるため，平均接続端末数の推定が困難となる．そこで本稿では，キャンパスネットワークにおけるPrivate MAC about tracking activity histories and location information, major operating systems are rapidly advancing the provision of Private MAC Addresses (MAC Address randomization) and enhancing privacy. Its use is also widely observed on our campus network (KyutechWi-Fi). However, from a network management perspective, connections using Private MAC Addresses present challenges such as making device identification difficult. Moreover, previously, it was assumed thatMAC addresses were unique per device, allowing for a straightforward calculation of the average number of devices per user. However, the implementation of Private MAC Addresses generates different MAC addresses per SSID, which are updated periodically, making device count estimation difficult.
