This research investigates how three types of visual stimuli―fingertip shape change, target color change, and target depression―affect user performance and subjective evaluation in selection tasks. These stimuli were presented both singularly and in combination. Evaluation and analysis, conducted using a multi-directional tapping task compliant with ISO 9241-9 and Fitts's law, revealed that the color change stimulus significantly shortened movement time. The target depression stimulus, however, demonstrated a trade-off, reducing the error rate but increasing movement time. Conversely, the fingertip shape change stimulus earned high subjective ratings for pseudo-haptic sensation, usability, and spatial perception.
