In the CAT system developed in this study, we adopted questions that assess whether the user can actually operate MS-Office on a PC according to the instructions in the problem statement, rather than testing their knowledge about MS-Office. In addition, in this study, we examined methods for setting the initial value of the ability parameter and the test termination conditions to prevent a decrease in the accuracy of ability estimation due to a shortened time limit. As a result of 4,303 first-year university students using this system in the 2018 and 2019 academic years, the score distribution of the test results approximated a normal distribution, suggesting that the system was able to present appropriately difficult questions according to the MS-Office operating skills of each student. Furthermore, an analysis of the mean test times and standard errors of the estimated ability score indicated that by setting the initial value of the ability parameter considering factors such as a sense of difficulties using computers., and by adding a condition to terminate the test based on the convergence status of the ability parameter, it is possible to shorten the test time while avoiding a decline in the accuracy of the ability estimation.}, pages = {1--12}, title = {MS-Office操作スキル測定用コンピュータ適応型テストシステムの開発と評価}, volume = {11}, year = {2025} }
