note = {The theory of Tonal Pitch Space (TPS) is a model to define the distances of two chords, and this enables us to find plausible interpretations of chord sequences. In our study, we extended the TPS based interpretation search method introducing tetrads and natural / harmonic / melodic minor scales to cover typical chords and scales used in jazz, ε-transitions to represent pivot chords, and chord functions and cadence shortcuts to detect cadences. Though these modifications greatly increase the size of search graph, our method effectively narrow down the result by breaking symmetries and considering more than two chords, The theory of Tonal Pitch Space (TPS) is a model to define the distances of two chords, and this enables us to find plausible interpretations of chord sequences.
