However, it is more difficult to feel the presence of other viewers in VR live performances than in real live performances, making it difficult to create a sense of togetherness. To solve this problem, we propose an immersion sharing system that improves the sense of togetherness by presenting vibration feedback based on the brain wave information of other viewers and sharing the immersion level with them. Using the proposed system, we conducted an evaluation experiment to investigate whether vibration feedback based on the θ/α ratio of other viewers is effective in improving “immersion” and “recognition of the presence of other viewers,” which are used as indicators of the sense of unity in this study. In the evaluation experiment, 21 participants were divided into three groups: a no-vibration group with no vibration feedback function, a constant-vibration group with a constant-strength vibration feedback function, and a proposed group with an intensity vibration feedback function based on brain waves. The participants in the no vibration group were asked to wear a simple electroencephalograph and HMD, while the participants in the constant vibration group and the proposed group were asked to watch a live VR session while wearing a simple electroencephalograph, HMD, and ONE Parka, a vibration device. We measured the electroencephalogram (EEG) of the participants while they were watching the VR live performance, and asked them to answer a questionnaire about their impressions of the VR live performance experience.
