A simple difference-in-differences analysis yielded a positive but statistically non-significant LMS effect of 19.8 points. However, after controlling for student characteristics (pre-course GPA, international-student dummy, attendance rate, etc.) with cluster-robust OLS regression, the net impact of LMS adoption rose to 35.8 points and became highly significant (p ＜ .001); the gain was especially marked for international students (+10.2 points, p = .021). Correlation analysis further showed a positive relationship between attendance and performance gains in the traditional class (r = 0.50) but a negative relationship in the LMS class (r = -0.53).
