AAF is a method that applies acoustic transformations to speech utterances, which are only heard by the speaker. In this study, preliminary experiments were conducted to confirm the system operation and to determine the evaluation indices, which were then used as the basis for this experiment. In this experiment, changes in speech characteristics were investigated by applying transformed auditory feedback during oral reading of a manuscript, using speech pitch, inflection, loudness, high-pass filter, and low-pass filter as operating conditions. The results showed that manipulating the pitch of the feedback speech changed the intelligibility of the speech. Based on the results of the study, we concluded that increasing the pitch of the feedback speech can enhance the clarity of the speaker's speech.
