wireless sensor nodes in various environments and using machine learning to compress or classify the sensor data makes it possible to compress data according to the data trend and reduce the server load by comparing it with the conventional simple method. However, when data trends change due to changing conditions or the user needs to update the classifier, we cannot update the machine learning model since the original data is unavailable on the server. In this paper, we propose Human-in-the-loop Environmental Monitoring. The proposed framework allows systems to generate a data set and update the classifier on the sensor nodes by compressing sent data in a recoverable method or sending the selected data, which is expected to increase the classification accuracy in a non-recoverable compression method. As a result, we can continuously update the classifier with minimal annotation.
