Among them, it is desirable that all computers provided for use in lectures are provided in a short time and in alignment. Network boot is currently the main method of provision, but it depends on network bandwidth and the performance of the boot server distributing the operating system. Compared to disk boot, boot time increases, and even if computers are power on at the same time, the boot time can vary. In addition, when using multiboot, users have to operate the computer before it becomes available for use, which causes working and waiting times, which also causes variations in the provision of terminals here. To improve on these two problems, a method is proposed to boot computers faster than conventional network boot and to reduce the variation in boot time between computers. In this method, the OS is distributed in advance on a local disk and user data and other data are obtained from a file server on the network. The teacher specifies the operating system to be run from the assumption that the OS to be used in the lecture is predetermined. The specified OS information is notified to each terminal.
