In order to evoke students' interest in artificial intelligence, as part of general information education, training to use artificial intelligence for mobile app development was conducted in a class of 30 students, the majority of which has no programming experience. The goal is to complete a mobile app that infers age and gender from a facial photograph. The development environment is Monaca and the artificial intelligence application programming interface (API) used in the training is IBM Watson's image recognition API.
