• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: データウェアハウスについては、昨今、数々の議論がなされてきた。しかしながら、OLAP(OnLine Analytical Processing)という観点では、意外と少ないと感じている。これは、OLAPがデータウェアハウスでありながら、このなかでの位置づけが明確になっていないせいだと考える。本稿ではOLAPのデータウェアハウスでの位置づけを延べ、ここで必要とされる機能と、OLAPとして構築する集計データマートと検索用として構築する生データマートとの違い、およびそれらの連携とHybrid OLAPについて、ドリルスルーという技法を中心に述べる。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Recently Data Warehousing has become a pop ular topic to be discussed by people from various fields. However, only a few people talk about a term OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing), because OLAP has not been recognized as a part of Data Warehousing solutions among these people. In this paper I will define what is OLAP as a Data Warehousing solution and introduce the functions necessary for building OLAP and the difference between the Aggregate Data-mart built for OLAP and the Raw Data-mart built as referential data. Also, I will cover how these two types of Data-mart are related with each other and what is Hybrid OLAP as describing a OLAP method, i.e., Drill-Through
