However, satellite positioning used outdoors has an average horizontal error of about 13 meter, and the error significantly increases in urban areas where there are tall buildings (urban canyons). In such a place, the accuracy of determining which of the two sidewalks (passages) sandwiching the road from the positioning results by satellites is greatly reduced. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new method to estimate the state of the buildings on the left and right from the received signal strength of satellite on the left and right with respect to the traveling direction, and to determine which path on the left and right has passed.
