In this research, we propose a volumetric display using a glass tube and a fluid, and consider a method to control air bubbles in the glass tube. The display is composed of a glass tube and a liquid with the same refractive index as glass. It is possible to present information by controlling the position of air bubbles in the glass tube. By arranging the glass tubes three-dimensionally and dunking into the glass tubes in the liquid with the same refractive index, the glass tubes become invisible and information can be presented in three dimensions. In this paper, we selected the components and examined the method to control the position of the bubble in the glass tube. Furthermore, we examined the factors that affect the moving distance, and proposed a system to rectify them. We performed evaluation experiments about the implemented system. |
