• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 多くの動物園では，動物舎内やグラウンドにモニタリング用の監視カメラを設置している．このようなカメラは，獣医師 ・ 飼育員の日常的な管理作業での利用を主な目的とし，それに合わせた設置 ・ 利用形態となっている．例えば，カメラは，常設に加え，その時々の担当者の関心等に合わせた柔軟な仮設への要求が高く，また，カメラ映像についても，飼育動物のリアルタイムの監視よりも，動物に起きた出来事の記録や，研究者らの研究資料として活用されていることが多い．著者らは，2010 年以降，京都市動物園において，動物舎内の監視カメラの映像をネットワークを用いて集中的に蓄積するシステムを展開・運用し，あわせて，このようにして収集した映像の飼育 ・ 教育 ・ 研究等への活用に関する取り組みを行ってきた．本稿では，これらの一連の活動を踏まえ，多種多様な動物を飼育 ・ 展示する動物園の活動への，多面的な映像活用に向けた監視カメラ映像システムのあり方について検討する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: In many zoos, surveillance cameras are installed in its grounds and rooms, to monitor and record animals' behaviors. Such cameras are mainly used for daily work of keepers and veterinarians, and their installation and usage manners are in styles accordingly. For example, in addition to permanently installed cameras, cameras are often temporarily installed tailoring to keepers' and researchers' interests. Rather than monitoring in real time, videos taken with such cameras are often kept as records for keepers or research materials for researchers to understand and study what happened to the animals. Since 2010, the authors have been operating a surveillance camera system for monitoring and recording animals in the Kyoto City Zoo. The authors have also continued efforts to utilize recorded videos in various functions of the zoo, such as breeding, education and research activities. In this paper, based on these experiences, we study on the concept of a surveillance camera video management system for multifaceted utilization of animal videos in zoos.
