3 つの課題を抱えている ： （課題 1） 学習に気づかせること，（課題 2） 気づかせた上で学習させること，（課題 3） 学習した知識を定着させること．本研究では，課題 3 の解決に向け，日常生活の隙間時間の中で効率よく記憶を定着させるマイクロラーニングシステムの実現を目指す．教育心理学に関する研究から，人は記憶の中から情報を思い出す （検索する） 行為をする方が記憶が強化されることが明らかになっている．このことからユーザが過去に調べた単語に着目し，調べた単語を学習に利用することでより効率的な知識定着を図る．本研究の目的の実現に向け，ユーザが調べた単語を自動で収集する Chrome Extension，および調べた単語から語学学習の問題を出題する Android アプリを開発した．本実験では，8 名の実験参加者に対して，作成した単語データセットから単語の意味が既知であるかどうかを判定してもらい，単語の意味が未知であった単語から Chrome Extension を通して，辞書サイトで調べる単語データセット，調べない単語データセットが同程度になるようにデータセットを作成した．単語検索実験後，Android 端末から上記それぞれの単語データセットの単語をランダムに出題されるように設定し，1 週間の英単語学習実験を通して，自由な時間に英単語の問題に解答してもらった．実験後，学習履歴のある単語の学習効果を確認テストにより，学習履歴のない単語との比較評価を行なった．確認テストの結果，実験参加者は 1 週間の間に約 56 単語 （学習履歴のある単語 ： 約 30 単語，学習履歴のない単語 ： 約 26 単語） の意味を定着させたことが確認できた．学習履歴のある単語とない単語の定着率に対し，wilcoxon の符号順位検定を行なった結果，p = 0.069 （p <  0.10）
