While previous systems for automatic piano arrangement often rely on heuristic rules, we aim to reduce this process to the application of a single fundamental principle. By doing so we avoid complicated manual work such as defining detailed rules and adjusting parameters. Thus, we propose a method which calculates the local entropy of each note in an orchestral piece based on information theory, and uses this information to arrange the orchestral score for piano. As exemplary results of the proposed automatic arrangement principle, we present piano arrangements of Beethoven's symphonies.}, title = {情報理論的考察に基づくオーケストラ曲のピアノ自動編曲の試み}, year = {2019} }
