We have proposed the diminished reality method for a pressure stimulus by the cross-modal phenomenon and shown possibility to reduce pressure perception by the mismatch between visual stimulus and pressure stimulus. In a prototype, we used a smartphone as display device of the visual stimulus, but subjects with low self-attribution to the arm through the display tended to be less likely to reduce pressure perception. In this paper, we conducted experiments using HMD as a visual stimulus presentation display in order to maintain a strong self-attribution, and examined the results.
