• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 本論では画像データベースにおいて検索という利用者側の観点を扱っている。メタデータ型画像データベースについて画像認知の観点を取り入れて検索実験を行い、検索中における検索者の行動を以下の２つの典型的なパターンについて扱った。パターンとして扱う課題は、与えられた画像を探す課題と、テーマに従って画像を探す課題である。その結果、キーワード入力の比率，検索ページ数，アクション数，キーワード検索回数において両課題間で差が見られた。また1アクションあたりの時間，AND検索の深さについては、両課題間で有意な差が見られなかったという結果を述べている。そして次のアクションへとるべき行為を考える時間，キーワードの積を取る方法，画像を拡大して確認するか否かは個人の属性に依存する、ことを明らかにした。また、Web上の画像を検索するエンジンとしてGoogle Imageを取り上げ、メタデータ型画像データベースとの検索行動の違いについても分析を行なった。その結果、キーワード入力の比率 検索ページ数 アクション数 キーワード検索回数において有意な交互作用が見られ、Google Imageとメタデータ型との検索行動や得意とする課題に関する差異を明らかにした。

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This paper is dealt with a retrievers’ behavior for the metadata type image database. Tasks are two. One is that subject is shown an image and they retrieve them. The other is that subject is given some theme and retrieve the image which he/she feel best match. And as Google image, web based image retrieval database is targeted, the users’ behavior on the two databases is compared. The result is that inputting keywords, pages, actions, and time is more open question than closed ones and time per one action depth of and is as many as two questions. But for Google, this tendency is contraries.
