We conducted an online user study to assess the reliability and validity of the proposed web access literacy scale, using a Japanese crowdsourcing service. Factor analysis produced seven factors solution for the proposed scale. A weak positive correlation was found between the proposed scale scores and health literacy scores (r=0.32, p<.001), and a weak negative correlation was found between the proposed scale scores and the credibility of web information (r=-0.20, p<.001). Furthermore, we confirmed that the experiences to take information literacy classes had significant effect on the web access literacy scores (F(1, 525) = 8.82, p<.01).
