FTV is immersive 3D media with an infinite number of views and ranks as the top of visual media. MPEG has been developing FTV standards since 2001. The current third phase of FTV is MPEG-I. It expresses the stages of immersion by DoF (Degree of Freedom) of viewpoint and standardizes each stage sequentially from 3DoF to 6D0F. 3DoF is 360-degree video with fixed viewpoint and 6D0F is 360-degree video with free viewpoint.
