Recently, many applications of spatial database systems need to solve various geometric problems such as visibility searching.  In this paper, we present an efficient algorithm to find the candidates of visible objects which are originally stored in the spatial database systems.  Our space sweep algorithm traverses on spatial index tree efficiently.  We also present the results of experiments on the implementation of our filtering algorithm.
