introductory computer science education, topics on CPU operation principles are difficult to be understood with solid sense. In University of Electro-Communications' 1st-grade introductory CS subject (15 weeks), we assign 1 week (90min.) to those topics. In school year 2017, we have started to use assembly language programming as a learning material. Our enquiry shows that many students understood how CPU operates, and also gained interests in programming.
