/ TCP 通信によるビデオストリーミングサービスが一般に広く利用されているが,その再生品質はフロー制御及び再送制御を行う TCP の動作によって大きな影響を受けることが知られている.一方で,TCP 拡張手法として複数の経路を同時に使用するマルチパス TCP (MPTCP) が研究 ・ 実装されており,従来の TCP における通信スループット及び経路の安定性を改善することが期待されている.しかし既存の MPTCP は各経路の往復遅延 (Round Trip Time) に基づいてパケット転送優先経路を決定するため,最小 RTT 経路においてパケットロスが生じた場合,受信側におけるパケットリオーダ及び Head-of-Line Blocking が頻発し,性能が低下するという問題がある.そこで本研究では,経路帯域及びパケット再送を考慮した MPTCP パケットスケジューラを提案し,ビデオ品質改善を図る.また提案手法を HTTP / MPTCP video streaming services delivering video data by HTTP / TCP have been widely used with common mobile devices such as smartphone. And then user experience of video quality depends heavily on TCP performance. Recently, Multi-path TCP (MPTCP), new TCP scheme which transmits data via multiple End-to-End paths is researched, implemented and expected to improve conventional TCP performance. However, current MPTCP packet scheduler selects a shortest RTT path to send packet, and then cause performance degradation due to reordering packet or Head-of-Line blocking on receiver after causing packet loss event on shortest RTT path. In this research, we propose new MPTCP packet scheduler taking into account bandwidth or TCP retransmission on paths to improve video quality.
