Especially, pitch contours (melodic outlines) have a high affinity the intuitive physical gesture. We have proposed a method to recognize user's physical gesture using a motion sensor camera and smartphone sensors, and have developed a system for supporting the musical performance by physical gestures. In this paper, we develop an improvisation support system “JamGesture” by integrating a method of recognizing physical gesture using smartphone that we have developed and “JamSketch”, a system for melody generation based on melodic outline developed by Kitahara et al.
