BigchainDB が提案されている.BigchainDB は,スケーラピリテイが高く,分散されているが,分散データベースの性能に依存しているため,今後 IoT デバイスの数が急激に増加すると,データベースの性能が低下してしまう可能性がある.そこで本論文では,FPGA NIC 上にキャッシュを作成し,DB サーバで行う処理の一部をオフロードすることでデータベースの性能を向上させることを目的とした.評価では,サーバまたは FPGA NIC が 1 秒間に処理できたクエリ数を計測し,スループットを算出した.またサーバ上に擬似的なソフトウェアキャッシュを作成することで,提案手法による貢献を分析した.具体的にはデータベースがクエリを処理する遅延の削減によりスループットは平均で 1.8 倍向上し,クエリがネットワークを通過する通信遅延の削減によりスループットは平均で 3.8 倍向上した.さらにシステム全体のスループットは平均して 6.9
