Motivation behind this challenge is expectation for collective research based on co-creation beyond individual research based on competition. Recent trend in open science raises interests on improving performance of research collectively than individually through grand challenge research or contest-based research among a group of researchers, or trans-disciplinary research with participation of citizens and companies.
